The grandfather clock doesn't chime because it may not have been wound or set properly. Grandfather clocks typically need to be wound regularly to keep accurate time and to chime. On the other hand, the bell chimes because it is likely a separate mechanism that is not reliant on being wound like the grandfather clock. The bell may be operated manually or by an electronic mechanism, allowing it to chime without the need for regular winding. **

I'm sorry, but I cannot provide real-time weather forecasts. I recommend checking a reliable weather website or app for the most up-to-date information on when it will rain again in Germany. **

An old clock gives the number of chimes equal to the current hour. For example, if the current time is 3 o'clock, the old clock will chime 3 times. If the current time is 7 o'clock, the old clock will chime 7 times. This is a traditional way for old clocks to indicate the current hour to those who may not be able to see the clock face. **

Rain gear and rain pants are designed to protect the wearer from getting wet in rainy conditions. They are typically made from waterproof materials such as Gore-Tex or nylon, which repel water and keep the wearer dry. Rain gear and rain pants are also often equipped with features like sealed seams and adjustable cuffs to further prevent water from seeping in. Overall, they are essential items for anyone who spends time outdoors in wet weather. **

Germany receives relatively little rainfall because of its location in the temperate climate zone. The prevailing westerly winds from the Atlantic Ocean bring moisture, but as they move eastward over the country, they lose much of their moisture. Additionally, the presence of the European Alps to the south blocks some of the moisture-laden air masses. These factors contribute to Germany experiencing less rainfall compared to other regions at similar latitudes. **

To turn off the intercom STR HT 2003 with 3 chimes using a toggle switch, you can wire the toggle switch in series with the power supply to the intercom system. This way, flipping the toggle switch to the off position will cut off power to the intercom, effectively turning it off. Make sure to consult the intercom's manual or a professional for specific wiring instructions to ensure proper installation and safety. **

Rain shadow deserts are called so because they are formed as a result of a rain shadow effect. This occurs when moist air from the ocean is forced to rise over a mountain range, causing it to cool and release its moisture as rain or snow on the windward side of the mountains. As the air descends on the leeward side, it warms and becomes drier, creating a rain shadow effect. This results in a dry and arid climate on the leeward side of the mountains, leading to the formation of rain shadow deserts. **

Electric rain occurs through a power line when there is a combination of moisture and contaminants on the surface of the line. When the line becomes wet, the moisture and contaminants create a conductive path for electricity to flow. This can lead to a phenomenon known as "electric rain," where the electricity arcs or leaks from the power line to the ground, potentially causing power outages or damage to the line. Measures such as insulating the power line or using protective coatings can help prevent electric rain from occurring. **
